## Overview

Walmart's new Home Office Campus is one of the largest mass timber construction projects in the United States — a $1 billion+ investment spanning 350 acres and 2.4 million square feet of office space. With the site located far from urban infrastructure, heavily weighted Location & Transportation credits were largely unavailable for LEED scoring. ecoREAL deployed Lean LEED CA powered by Green Canary Software through Shawmut Design and Construction, in collaboration with Gensler, to extract maximum performance from the Materials & Resources and Indoor Environmental Quality categories.

### Key contributions

- 73 EPDs across 34 manufacturers (target: 20 EPDs / 5 manufacturers) — 3.6× over target
- 8.5 LCA Optimization score with 6 manufacturers (target: 5 / 3) — 1.7× over target
- 57.89% of the $18.6M materials budget responsibly sourced (target: 15%) — 3.9× over target
- 44 Material Ingredient evaluations across 42 manufacturers (target: 20 / 5) — 2.2× over target
- Material Ingredient Optimization score of 9 with 7 manufacturers (target: 5 / 3) — 1.8× over target
- Low-emitting materials: 100% flooring, 100% ceilings, 99% paints, 97% composite wood
